SLJ Week 1 Day 3 Cyan

Hello bloggers! Today we have another SLJ quest. We had to pick 3 activities. Activity 1 was if you had 3 superpowers what would they be and why? 2nd activity was if you could interview a sport player who would it be and what 3 questions would you ask them. 3rd activity was your dream job and what you could achieve.  I chose to do activity 1 because it sounds interesting. Science Experiment Cyan and Caja

Me and Caja have been working on a science experiment. Our topic we chose was Static Electricity. On Thursday our class will be trying out their experiment. For approximately 2 weeks we have been working on our slideshow.

My story - Chasing Chickens

Chasing Chickens

In the shining sun on a nice summer day I would travel to my marvellous aunt's farm house. In her farm she has 10 sheep and 4 lambs. She has 0 cows and 5 cats. Sadly, one of the cats is 151 years old in cat years and soon will be dying. In her farm she also has four adult chickens no roosters though. Their names are Shelly, Ninja Chick, Humanamanow  and Mrs long bottom. In my opinion the names are ridiculous. But they suit the chickens. One day I was trying to chase the chickens into the pens. We were going to let out our evil vicious cats out. Those cats are terrifying with their sharp claws and their terrible eyes that stare Suddenly one of our chickens (Mrs Long Bottom) decided to run out of the pen onto the road. I ran to go chase Mrs Long Bottom before it got hit by a car. Then I realised that it would get scared and boost and speed into another person’s property and if I were to ask to get her that would be an invasion of privacy.  So I waited an hour and then let the cats out. When I looked into the homebuilt pen my chickens were home asleep. One week later me and my brother were bored. We then were doing TV show kind of things. I went outside and he stayed inside and look through the window at me so it was shaped like a TV. I started talking but when it started to get boring we looked at one of the chickens passing by and started chasing it. It was a dumb idea but we didn’t get in trouble. When we were chasing it the chicken got so scared it started flapping its wings and started drifting and squawking  in the distance. Before we blank our eyes it was in the neighbours cow pen!

Athletics Day

Hello bloggers! On  Tuesday 19th of November  we had a fun athletics day.  We had different  events and they are named high jump, long jump, 400 meters run, shot put, sprinting, watching sprinting, tennis, fun throw, fun relays, obstacle course, hurdles, house relays  and team building. If you didn't know what athletics is it is a bunch of different sporty activities in one day. 

My favourite event was the team building because all the groups needed teamwork to get to the other side. What we needed to do was try to get to the other side of the river without touching the river with our foot or putting a pad on the pollution or parasites. What I liked about the team building was that it wasn't about being first to the other side it was about taking time to try your best.

 I also like hurdles because they was easy to jump over them and not hit my toes. Once we rotated all over the events we lastly had house relays. 

House relays is when we have different coloured house groups have a run relay. Whichever house group wins one race they get a point if they keep running first they would win. Currently we are waiting till Friday to see which house group has won. I  think ruru won because they had ran once or twice and won the round. 

Corbans Estate Trip

Hi bloggers! Yesterday on November 13th the whole middle school visited Corbans Estate. The pacifica mamas told us about the past about the Corbans Estate house. They had said that many many years ago the Corbans house was a winery. The Corbans family had gotten bored  of a winery so many years later they changed it to an art gallery. We were at the Corbans Estate to have a pacific experience


On the trip we had 3 different activities 1. drumming 2. leis and 3rd we had a dance.
For the leis we had gotten fake flower petals and made a pattern of colours. Before that we got told a pattern to do before we put more flowers on. It was flower straw flower straw flower straw. We had the straws to leave spaces in between the flowers so they don't look messy.
For my pattern I chose white pink purple black and repeated it on and on.  Once I was finished I kept overthinking who to give it to. When I figured it out I  thought it was perfect to give it to my mum because she adores purple.

One thing I found out about is that leis are a gift of love and luck.  Also leis can be worn as clothing and just a necklace. There is also different types of leis like seashell leis.
